You’re not staying because you’re weak—you’re staying because you’ve been trained to survive on scraps. You’re starving for peace, so when she gives you 10 seconds of calm after 10 days of hell, your brain calls it love.

It’s survival.

It’s addiction.

It’s emotional heroin—and the withdrawal is brutal.
